Umpires Required - 3rd and 4th of July

Glenn Cunningham, captain of the table topping Third XI has an urgent need for an umpire this Saturday. The game is at Sydney Parade with a 1:30 start. Please contact Glenn directly to offer your services... 087 983 8889.

Alternatively, Justin Doherty, leader of the Fourth XI, also requires an official for his game on Sunday in Kenilworth Square. Justin is at 087 285 9728.

Please do consider offering your services as you can be the person worth 5 league points by standing....

Small but committed work Party - 18th April 2010

The crew that did turn up worked hard and long with a fabulous lunch provided by Mrs. Gallagher and her family. You will certainly notice the difference next time you come down. Leading from the front, Billy Gallagher was the first to arrive and proved to be a fine decorator. Family members Paddy, Becca were joined in the painting by Rupert Heather, Ronan Hickey, Jude Heyward, Priscilla Pegman, Aileen Fitzpatrick and the expert, Ruchard "The Wiz" Hastie. If I have missed anyone I apologise, and thank everyone who did turn up.

The Clubhouse has now been given a smarten up for 2010..... 

New Artifical Wicket on the Square - 17th April 2010

Installation took place over a couple of days last week and the first game scheduled for it is next Sunday when Michael Byers Fifth XI take on North Kildare.

No doubt many will be interested in how it plays, how much bounce it has and how many runs are scored on it. 

Pembroke Website undergoes re-vamp - 17th April 2010

It is intended that this website will contain better and more up-to-date information and can be used as much by the members as the administrators.

One of the changes you will immediately notice is that The Fox's Henhouse will now cease publication. Time will be spent putting the same articles,&#160;match reports, and the honours board, as well as Ed Watch and the caption competition onto the website.<br>But the new era can not begin without mentioning and thanking Guy Chilton and Niall Walsh for all of the hard work (and cash) they have invested in the original pembrokecricket.com and cricket.ie.
